Emeka is a tech enthusiast and award-winning entrepreneur, who is passionate about entrepreneurship in Africa and how it can curb the high unemployment rates in the continent. Emeka Akano provides services on product Development & management consultation in Nigeria, Africa. Emeka also mentors younger aspiring entrepreneurs as well.

Emeka has worked for several organizations across different sectors ICT, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, Education, and Government to name a few, as a Business Development Executive with the University of Nottingham in the UK, he was involved in closing partnership contracts for the university on several energy research collaborations worth millions of pounds (GBP). He also voluntarily co-hosts the Lagos Founder2be events a platform that helps aspiring entrepreneurs and Startups learn from established entrepreneurs and also find potential co-founders with complementary skillsets for their business or idea, this activity was covered by Forbes Africa in 2014 an article titled "The Cupids of Commerce".

Emeka holds an MSc. in Electrical Technology for Sustainable and Renewable Energy Systems from the University of Nottingham, UK, and a BSc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. He also has a Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management from the Pan-Atlantic University (Lagos Business School) and most recently was part of the Stanford Seed Graduate Business School program in 2020.

Emeka was selected as one of Forbes Africa's 30 under 30 for 2015 (Forbes Africa's Most Promising Young Entrepreneurs list) the inaugural set, he was again featured in the prestigious magazine in 2016, and in 2017 he was featured in a published book titled - "African Entrepreneurs - 50 Success Stories" by Iwa Adetunji where he was privileged to be profiled.
